Joshua, Jordan and Jiya

There have apparently been some practice sessions to prepare for First Eucharist in Joshua’s class using unconsecrated hosts. It inadvertently slipped out when Joshua claimed the host was as thin as paper when in his mouth. Of course, I pounced on that statement like a bull terrier and went, “what, when, where?”. Poor Joshua. I asked him how he was given the host and he demonstrated how he picked it off his palm and popped it in his mouth. It wasn’t a very elegant receiving of a holy species and I said so to him. He looked very solemnly at me and said, “But, mama, it wasn’t blessed!”. From the mouth of the babes, huh?
